This work is an exterior light installation that plays with the idea of transformation.  While the field of light might seem a microcosm of the city, it is also a reflection of the stars shining in the sky, creating an image, which, in its movement, produces a sense of lightness and freedom.  The vertical light tubes that form a sculpture by day, take on a continuously changing form by night.  As if in a ballet piece, the lights create ever-new meanings as they move about the field.  The placement, speed and movement of the lights is set to Rimsky-Korsakov’s famous orchestral interlude, ‘The Flight of the Bumblebee.’
